The Terrace Falls walk is relatively easy, but it does have some uneven terrain and several short uphill sections. It’s best walked after heavy rain which makes it a little harder as some of the creek crossings will require either using slippery rocks as stepping stones (tiny rocks which move as opposed to stable boulders) or getting wet boots. Decent boots with grip will stop the track feeling slippery.
Which maps cover the area?
Start you walk from the end of Terrace Falls Road. You will follow a fire trail for the first few hundred metres.
You will firstly see Victor Falls. If you want to go and check out the falls, make your way back the same way and follow the track towards Terrace falls.
Terrace falls will be some 1km into your walk. The ground can be quite slippery. If you choose to continue (requiring you to cross the water) you can follow the Terrace Falls Circuit, which is about 4-5km and passes Little Tarrace Falls, and Pyramid Falls. If you choose not to make this walk a circuit, come back the way you came.
