The Blackbutt Track

Dorrigo National Park

This walk takes you to the the Never Never picnic area through rainforest and two waterfalls. You can return to your car via a 5 km walk up the road. Walking in this direction the Bushwalk part is mostly downhill with an uphill walk after the second waterfall.

Start from just inside the National Park boundary on Dome Rd. The track starts at the car on the right hand side of the road just before the National Parks sign on the left.

Comments

We began the walk at the Never Never Picnic Area and returned by the same route. The return journey was definitely easier. There was just one part of the track that was a bit overgrown, but not too much trouble getting through. Also there were a couple of trees over the path. Still a great walk. The path passed over the this of the first waterfall, although you can enjoy a smaller one just upstream. The path follows a couple of creeks and you can see some other smaller waterfalls along the way.
