A medium in-and-out walk through coastal rainforest and heathland offering whale watching, wildflowers, scenic views, and even a blowhole on the way to secluded beaches.
It is possible to start from The Gap carpark closer to the main headland, or from the end of Hungry Road near Hungry Gate campground (high clearance vehicle recommended, 2wd should be fine). Plenty of parking at both locations.
Fairly easy walk with beautiful scenery, dolphins, whales, kangaroos and many birds. There are many secluded, swimmable beaches along the way as well as many fishing spots. The trail is easy to follow but a bit washed out and rocky on the southern end. It is possible to add in the mediocre Kinchela Trig Lookout track, or the Korogoro Circuit onto this track for a longer walk. Camping and drop toilets within a walkable distance (~2km) are available at Hungry Gate Campground, or at the caravan park near the headland.
Free, may need a vehicle entry pass for the Hungry Gate parking area.
