Getting there:

Once in the town of Moree, head for the car park at the junction of Warialda and River Street, next to the showground.

Maps:

None found.

Route/Trail notes:

From the car park, head right along the riverbank pathway, turning left over the bridge at the end and back along the pathway on the far side of the Mehi River. Follow the pathway under the road bridge and along the river bank to the Edward Street bridge, where you turn left over the bridge and left again back along the pathway/Victoria Terrace, past the Visitor Centre and under the road bridge, through Jellicoe Park back to the start.

As this is a circular walk, you can pick your start point anywhere along the route.

Permits/Costs:

None.

Other References/Comments:

This walk has not quite finished or officially named and signposted by Council, but I was advised of the name by the Visitor Centre.

Comments

We are on a 8,500km road trip out to the red centre and this was one of the first places we stayed and the first walk of 33 logged. Great walk to stretch your legs and have a look around after a day's drive.
