Login/signup to tick this walk off.A walk to the highest point of the Montserrat Massif, Sant Jeroni (1237m) is an impressive spectacle right from the start as you begin your walk from the majestic Monestir de Montserrat. This manmade wonder is only the beginning as you will spend the rest of your day wandering amongst towering rock spires. This is not a walk to miss if ever your in the area.
How do you get to the start of the walk?
Start the walk at the end of the street past the Alberg Abat Oliba hostel where some stairs begin to lead upwards into a gully which is your access to higher up the mountain. Alternatively one may take the Sant Joan Funicular which shorterns the walk and leads to you doing it in reverse.

A detailed description of the walk!
Start the walk at the end of the street past the Alberg Abat Oliba hostel where some stairs begin to lead upwards into a gully which is your access to higher up the mountain. Alternatively one may take the Sant Joan Funicular which shorterns the walk and leads to you doing it in reverse. If you opt to walk the full trail you shall follow the gorge up and up until you reach the Ermita de Sant Jeroni. From here take the out and back trail to the summit before returning back down the trail taking the right hand fork at a trail intersection you reached earlier in the day to join the ridge trail back. A while later you shall reach the top of the Sant Joan Funicular where you may have the option to get a ride down if not continue on and loop down via the Creu de Sant Miguel back to the start point.
Do you need any permits? What's the cost?
Free though you may incur costs finding parking close or you may have to park further and walk (parking costs can be included if staying overnight) also if you are taking the funicular costs are involved.
