Lake Broadwater

Darling Downs South West

This track joins the two campgrounds. It starts just west of the campground and the lake and make its way around the lake before heading towards Wilga Bush Camp. There are lots of birds in the area. The track is mostly sandy but easy to follow. It passes the old dingo fence. There is also a lot of signage identifying trees.

Nice easy walk to stretch my legs after hours of driving. Plenty pines and brigalow ( brigalow country ) . Has campsite too and if had more time would've thrown the yak in the lake. Will keep in mind for my next travels.

A great bush walk. Easy & very enjoyable.
Starting at the lake/camping site, it is about 1.5km (past the caretaker's house and bird hide) to the start of the 5km track.
In total it is about an 8km round trip. Well shaded on the track itself.

There are so many corellas here. They're just everywhere. We also saw red winged parrots. Stunning!
