Route/Trail notes:

There is a large sign at the end of Sam Kelly Road outlining a dirt bike track. From this sign head to the right until you reach a gate. Signs will point you either straight ahead to Gheerulla Falls or on the right towards Thilba Thalba walkers' camp. Take the path to the right for a long steady climb with many switchbacks. Eventually there will be a side track to the left, leading to a rocky outcrop overlooking the valley. In September this short side track is suddenly more resplendent with wild flowers such as Platylobium formosum, Tetratecha thymifolia and a Leptospermum species. Return the way you came unless you want to extend the walk by continuing an extra 1.2 km to Thilba Thalba walkers' camp.

Permits/Costs:
