Manly to North Head

Greater Sydney

“Sunset from North Head is on my list of ways to impress my overseas visitors. They simply can’t believe how beautiful it is.”

The heath-covered clifftops at North Head reveal unending ocean views and a spectacular panorama of the harbour and Sydney skyline. Situated on the northern-most edge of the harbour within sight of Hornby Lighthouse on South Head, it’s a relaxing ferry ride from Circular Quay. One of those things to do when visiting Sydney, it’s near to Manly, and a great day trip for locals and tourists alike.

Included Collins Flat Beach and Little Manly Beach into the loop. Adds variety, history and fine views. Actually, its part of the Bondi to Manly walk.

Last day of the Bondi to Manly Walk. North Head is great for walking, fairfax lookout has great views and as you come out the other side Shelley Beach is really lovely.

Nice walk, great coastal views. Bring Google Maps with you as the track has plenty of junctions without signage. Make sure you visit Fairfax Lookout and the Gatehouse Museum on your way through the grounds.

Great coastal walk but bring a map or use google maps on your phone as it is easy to take the wrong track at some points.
