Really lovely walk that we had to ourselves today. Incredibly peaceful walk, mostly flat and easy to complete in 3-4 hours

Goolman Lookout (Ipswich - Flinders Goolman Conservation Estate) |

The walk is very dry at the moment and with cool days is a good time to explore the area. Some quite steep bits but very achievable for moderate fitness levels. Nice view from Goolman lookout but not much of a view from Rocky Knoll

This is definitely a steep walk but as there are a lot of steps it is much easier than it would be to scramble or walk up a steep hill. Believe them when they say that there are over 1000 steps. Having said that its a very achievable walk for moderate fitness and the views at the top are worth it.

Short easy walk, probably the least interesting walk in the park, but great for a short relatively flat stroll.
Breadknife and Grand High Tops Circuit (Warrumbungle National Park) |

Hard |
13km return 6 hrs |
|
Unfortunately the part that walks along the high tops is closed and we had to take the shortcut but it is still a really good walk. We came back via Spirey creek which was the much more preferable way if you are doing the circuit as the walk up is largely paved and much easier on the legs.
Belougery Split Rock (Warrumbungle National Park) |

This is definitely a steep walk. It climbs right from the carpark and there are some sections that will challenge you if you are at all afraid of heights, with some parts very close to the cliff and scrambling required in small sections. Absolutely stunning scenery though and achievable with moderate fitness.

We walked this early in the morning and the rock was pretty slippery so I would recommend it a bit later in the day when the sun has warmed and dried the rock. Really lovely walk though and well worth doing.

Nice short walk to the dam and then up the tower. The walk up the tower is only short with not too many steps and totally worth the view where you get a really great idea of how big the area is.
