Route/Trail notes

The first part of the lava tube is lit by lights mounted on the walls of the tunnel and is all most visitors get to see. The second, and more interesting, part is unlit and is only accessible to those who come prepared with a flashlight. The second part of the tube extends 340 m in complete darkness. At the end, the tunnel just stops and you turn around and go back 340 m in complete darkness.
