Cattle Dip Track

Expedition National Park

An easy walk through open woodland to look out over the "cattle dip" - a spectacular permanent, aptly named water hole in Robinson Gorge. No access from the lookout to the water hole without climbing gear.

Getting there

Drive 2.8km from Starkvale Creek camping ground to a small carpark then walk the 800m trail to the lookout.

Comments

Followed this as part of all hikes in the area, bit of same same once you've seen the Gorge yet nice walk enjoying the peace and quite.

Cattle Dip is truly spectacular and the walk really easy. If you wanted, you could walk the 2.8km from Starkvale camping ground to get to the start of the walk but it's just a forestry road with little of interest (and we'd already done three walks that day).
