Route/Trail notes:

It's an easy walk. A bit of a dirt trail down hill, and then you should already see the tunnel. You can go through the tunnel where there is a cool echo in it too. On the other side of the tunnel there is a council foothpath, that goes for about a 1km behind the residtional houses. Not much to see here.

You can loop around back to your car via the residential roads.
Or.
Go back through the tunnel and walk the trails that have several different easy paths to walk back around to your car.

Great short walk with the kids, very easy to get to. Kids enjoyed the ‘secret tunnel’ as a surprise on the walk.

Did this as a night walk with head lamps with the family. Everyone loved the graffiti. doing the walk at night pushes up the spooky level too.

We had an interesting walk here. Once you get down a little there are dirt bike tracks everywhere so we got a little confused. We decided to take the most obvious paths by going straight ahead and heading down hill. We made it to a place where we had to choose between going left or right. We asked a bike rider where the tunnel was and he told us we were heading on the right direction. As long as we kept going that way we’d walk into it. When we got there it was about 1.5km. However right near the tunnel is a track that went straight up to to road - 300m. The tunnel is great and definitely worth a look. At the other end there are information boards on the railway line.

Pretty easy walk. Didn't do the full walk. Just headed from the street down and through the tunnel. Was good to see a bit of history. Just a shame about the graffiti.
