Getting there

The entrance is alongside the Palmerston Hwy. It is signed however you wouldn't necessarily see it as you're driving past. There are prominent signs on the road stating "walking track" - this is where you stop. There is a small parking area on the right side of the road as you're heading inland - just past Crawfords Lookout. Then you'll see signs to both Tchupala and Wallicher falls. Do both while you're here; it isn't far and very, very worth it.

Route/Trail notes

A short, easy walk to Tchupala falls. Signs say 500m. About a 20 minute return walk from the fork in the track for both falls. Beautiful trail, as is the whole area.

Was fortunate to visit Tchupala Falls & Wallacha in 2013 after a couple of rainy days. Absolutely stunning falls after rain & still worthwhile walk even when dry. Access is via Palmerston highway between Johnstone River lookout & Gooligans picnic area. Good idea to have some insect repellent on as there are midges in the area at times.
