This 2nd section of the Sunshine Coast Coastal Pathway (SCCP) is always busy with people taking a stroll or enjoying the beaches, water activities and the views across to Bribie Island.
Head to Caloundra and take Park Place/Landsborough Parade south. Just before the bridge at the far end, turn left into Lamerough Parade and park at the Power Boat Club, next to Woorim Park.
None found.
Start from the car park at Power Boat Club and head north along the pathway. After 400m, take the boardwalk through the mangrove swamp to rejoin the pathway that takes you all the way to the Outrigger Club. From here, the path crosses the creeks and skirts the Big4 Park and Coast Guard onto Tripcony Lane. Unfortunately, you now have to walk around the apartment blocks on Maloja Avenue to rejoin the pathway on Caloundra Esplanade, where you walk along to the car park at Bulcock Beach.
Return by the same route.
None.
The first 2.5km is also the Golden Beach Parkrun, used every Saturday at 7am. The grassed area at Bulcock Beach is a popular evening spot to have a glass in your hand and enjoy the sunset over the Glass House Mountains in the distance.
As with all the sections of SCCP, you can do them in either direction, role one or more together, or get someone to drop you off and pick you up further along the track.
There are numerous points along the way for a swim, grab a coffee or a bite to eat. Take your dog for a swim, but check the beach entry points for any restrictions.
