Warringa Pool Track

Springbrook National Park

This is the additional park to Purlingbrook Falls that leads down to the rock pools. A nice cascade half way down and several cascades surrounding the pools. This is also part of the Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk.

Getting there

This section starts at the bottom of Purling Brook Falls. If you started that track going clockwise (down all those steps), then this tracks starts just before you take the last few steps to go down to the base of the falls. Warringa Pool Track goes straight, while the base of the falls is 20 (approx.) steps away going right.

Route/Trail notes

Following the track you will pass a wonderfull cascade around halfway down. Once at the pools, you can have a swim or expoler a little the cascades up/down stream. Remember the rocks are slippery and the water current is also dangerous. Once done relaxing, go back the same way.

Note: Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk is connected to the end of this track, such you can continue past the rock pools if you feel like it.

Comments

Very hot day so started early. Did the Purling Brook Falls Circuit twice, plus the Warringa Pool track once to make 10kms. Beautiful sitting by the falls and pool.

Lots and leaches :)

Although this walk only says it is 2km return, it feels much longer thatn that. but that may be due to the conditions. Due to the recent rain the entire path was sludgey mud and we kept nearly slipping. There are also some giant tree roots to climb over. The pools weren't that special and they were full of leeches. If you are short on time, I'd recommend giving this one a miss.

Worth the extra 2 km to check out these beautiful pools and waterfalls!

Add this track as purling brook is filled with the waterfall and not much information on these rock pools.
I did this part of the track today. Was way more muddy compared to the main purling brook track. The pools were cold, on a summer's day I'm sure it'd be wonderful.
