Purling Brook Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park) |

This walk was pretty challenging due to the recent rain, our boots kept sticking in all the mud and we had to take care to not slip. The waterfall was spectacular though. For those with bad knees like myself, this walk is actually super challenging, the steps you walk down are quite uneven and there is a severe lack of guardrails. I recommend going with a friend if you have mobility limitations.

Although this walk only says it is 2km return, it feels much longer thatn that. but that may be due to the conditions. Due to the recent rain the entire path was sludgey mud and we kept nearly slipping. There are also some giant tree roots to climb over. The pools weren't that special and they were full of leeches. If you are short on time, I'd recommend giving this one a miss.

It was a lovely walk but the path is starting to get a little overgrown and most of the way you can only walk single file. there were a few patches that required scrambling but they were not too difficult. Watch out for snakes, we spotted one on our hike.

It was far more challenging than I expected. Going up wasn't that bad, but coming down was. There are heaps of loose rocks that slide out from underneath you which wasn't great for my knees as they aren't 100% , it took us far longer to get down than up.
