Elanda Point to Harry's Hut

Great Sandy National Park

Great day out, however you need to keep moving to get around. Easy walking but a little tricky as the bridge is out, you can either swim (as I did) or cross country around kin Kin creek and cross over the concrete bridge 1km west of the old bridge.

Comments

A relatively easy hike that can be broken up by camping at Fig Tree Point. Ensure you take lots of water as the first 6 kms are quite exposed to the sun and the water in the tanks at Fig Tree Point is not suitable for drinking without treatment. I completed the return trip within 6.5 hours but was moving at a fast pace including jogging in parts and was very tired on the return trip. Most people would hike one way, camp at Harry's hut and return the following.
