Mt Tibberoowuccum (Glass House Mountains National Park) |

At the moment the trachyte circuit car park is closed to traffic so I would recommend following the alternative route (via 4wd track 212) to the summit. There is room to park directly opposite the track entrance. Was a steep climb and took about 75 mins return including a break at the summit.

A short walk but with impressive views both north and south. Only 10 minute walk to the summit so nowhere near the 1 hour return walk as suggested.

A moderately steep hike with the last 300 metres to the summit a moderately easy scramble / climb. There are some views at the summit towards gympie and to the north and some views as you approach the summit. Going at a slow pace with numerous breaks I finished the climb in 1 hr 50 mins

Toolona Creek Circuit (Lamington National Park) |

Challenging walk that took the whole day to complete in wet weather. Definitely worth it though the waterfalls were spectacular as were the crayfish which seemed to be everywhere. Parts of the track can be hard to spot and leeches were a huge problem during the wet which definitely slowed us down. (I was pulling off 10+ leeches every 10-15 mins). You also need to ford the creek several times which can be quite treacherous in the wet.
Booyong Walk (Treetop Walk) (Lamington National Park) |

An easy walk from O'Reillys. Climbing to the top of the tree is a must.
Coomera Circuit (Lamington National Park) |
Mar, 2017 |

Did this walk after a lot of rain so the waterfalls were spectacular when but the creek crossings were quite treacherous due to the fast flowing current. Track can be difficult to find when crossing the creeks too and is slippery when it’s wet. Well worth the effort though with many waterfalls making the walk fantastic.
Mt Merino Lookout (Lamington National Park) |
Mar, 2017 |
Medium |
22km 7 hrs |
|
Did this walk in conjunction with the Coomera circuit. The Mt Merino section of the walk is hard simply because of the length of the walk the track is reasonable by Lamington NP standards and slopes are gentle. In rain track is very muddy and slippery in places. Views at Mt Merino are spectacular and looks over the Tweed valley.
Tullawallal Circuit (Lamington National Park) |

This is an easy walk which ends with a strand of Antarctic beech trees. Picturesque walk for those not wanting to tackle the larger Lamington walks.
Elanda Point to Harry's Hut (Great Sandy National Park) |
27 Nov, 2016 |
Medium |
17.2km one-way 6 hrs |
|
A relatively easy hike that can be broken up by camping at Fig Tree Point. Ensure you take lots of water as the first 6 kms are quite exposed to the sun and the water in the tanks at Fig Tree Point is not suitable for drinking without treatment. I completed the return trip within 6.5 hours but was moving at a fast pace including jogging in parts and was very tired on the return trip. Most people would hike one way, camp at Harry's hut and return the following.
