Comments

We have completed this walk in 3 stages doing the return leg each time starting from the very top of Scarborough through to the horns room. Beautiful walk which I plan to do in one hit in the next few months.

This stretch of beach is a regular walk for us. We have walked the complete path in the past, making it a circuit by starting at Scarborough Beach, continuing the the Ted Smout Bridge and then walking across the peninsular to Newport Waterways before walking back to Scarborough. Today however we started at Sutton's Beach, walked across the Ted Smout Bridge and then along the beach at Brighton and Sandgate until we reached the Shorncliffe Pier. Then we walked back again. It was about 31km in total. It was a hot day made more bearable by the breeze coming off the water. It's a good walk because there are plenty of cafes along the way to pick up a drink and some food. There are also water bubblers - luxuries we don't always have in the aussie bush.

Nice relaxing walk, plenty of shops and cafes along to the way. Be sure not to miss the shipwreck at the beach cnr of Lilla St & Gayundah Esplanade.
