Moderate hike. Starting on private property gate, through magnificent myrtle forest alongside a creek, to a steep zigzagging fire trail to a fun top scramble to the summit. Fantastic views and a fairly sheltered hike until you hit the top. Return the same way or alternatively keep walking along the ridge to the Montague Thumb and come back in a long loop across the valley.
Entrance at Betts Road, on private property. Leave the car at sign and walk to Park gate.
Follow the track alongside the creek in the myrtle forest until you get to a fire trail after in intersection (right turn). Follow this steep road zigzagging to the top of the hill. A track on the right will lead to the final scramble and the summit with some rewarding views. Return the same way.
