It says to allow 5 hours. My friend and I did this track in 3hours 45 minutes: this was at quite a fast pace though as we were racing against the sun going down in the afternoon. We did come across a large snake taking up the path and had to wait 15 mins while it decided it move. We did it in an anti clockwise fashion. When we hit the meeting of the two creeks we wernt sure where to go; we had passed the track continuing to the left as we approached the creek without noticing. Only spot we wernt sure about. Well marked trail. My GPS said it was 15km. On this day the track had a sign saying closed. We did not see any other people during the whole of the walk. |

Beautiful walk. Took us two and a half hours moving plus a half hour on the top to have a snack. Its always useful for first timers to know that once you get past the rock scrambling to a flat tree covered area; you turn to the left not the right (the right goes to the peak you see as you are in the car park and climbing, this is not the main peak). |

It's kind of one of those ones you have to do, not cause it's incredible just just cause it's what you do on Fraser. | ||||

Myself and two friends completed this walk on a Saturday morning. Leaving the car park at 9am. Not too many people on the track. Easy track to follow, pretty difficult to get lost. It took us 4 hours with a long break (maybe 45 mins) on the top. There are some shady spots on top to sit and eat lunch. Really enjoyable walk with rewarding views. |

We did get lost twice and accidentally climbed half way up the West peak rather than the East peak. Took us 10 hours. It was really valuable to speak with the owners of the Mt Barney Lodge where we stayed to get tips and got shown photos for key points to look out for. The last 4 km across the grass to get back to the car was the most painful walk I have ever done! Would do it again. |
