Brilliant walk albeit a bit sloshy and slippery in parts...just wear proper hiking shoes/boots. The path is well signed the entire way, Is clear and has a good mix of inclines and descents but nothing too strenuous. We loved the variety of the landscapes - at times, it’s all rainforest then pines then all eucalyptus then grass trees and then banksias. The view from the lookout is brilliant. We also added on the 1km Piccabeen circuit which is lovely & accessible to those who need mobility aids &/or wheelchairs.

Well signed for the most part but we did miss the last turn off and ended up walking the last couple of kms on the quarry road which was really boring. Ended up being 10.3km with the spotted gum circuit included. Saw some kookaburras, a family of tawny frogmouths & a wallaby.

Good track, nice and wide. Easy circuit - added this on while doing the buhot creek circuit. Plenty of birdlife on the straight section of the track heading to the actual loop.

We loved this walk more than all others in the Red Centre. It was beautiful and peaceful. The massive rock formations were amazing. An easy walk of just over 7km. |
