First time up here and went up at dawn with a couple of ladies I met in the car park. Really lovely climb. The steps and chains are a great help and going down, for me, is the more challenging part. 35mins to the top with photo stops and the ladies caught up 10 mins later. Such a magical experience and one to be undertaken with a level of reverence in my opinion. But mountains should always have our love and respect shouldn’t they ❤️ |

Have actually done this wonderful track 4 times. Twice solo hiking (June 2015 and 2018- 12 days both times) Once ran it unsupported with a friend (May 2016 in 4.5 days!) And once (August 2017) did around 3/4 of it as “Sweep” for Run Larapinta (a staged Ultra Marathon) |
