Completed the walk this morning. Certainly not a busy track like most others in the Brisbane area. I was the only one in the carpark and didn't see a soul during the entire walk. The river is currently flooded and you will need to cross at the start using the bridge about 100 metres to the North. Then follow the track around the face of the dam past the temporary closure sign. The track was quite unkempt and I appeared to be the only person to walk it today and probably in the last few days. There were hundreds of spider webs across the track, tip - get someone else to walk in front! When you get to the fork with the wild pigs sign, keep right. Other than that, it's quite an easy walk but will get your heart pumping. I completed it in about 80 minutes without pushing very fast. |
