Great walk. Suzy & I walked, jogged, scrambled on an overcast Sunshine Coast day. Rocks & rock faces were wet & slippery, so had to take care. Great views of the Glasshouse Mountains.

Very enjoyable hike. Took us 5 hrs which includes a picnic lunch at the camp grounds at the end of the beach near Lion Rock. Spectacular views of the Southern Ocean & Southeast Cape. Was a windy day - could blow a dog off a chain; however, still enjoyable. First quarter (& last) is rocky & muddy; second & third quarters spent a lot of time on boardwalk. Undulating in parts & stairs at the beach; however, not bad at all.

What a beautiful little walk along the boardwalk. Spectacular paperbark & mangroves. Great views along the river to Mt Coolum & Buderim. Go now for PYO Strawberries from the Farm next door - it’s the season!

Great walk with interesting coastal views. Road to get in is fine, even for 2wd as long as you go slow. We had beautiful weather which made it even better.

Such an enjoyable hike. It had a bit of everything, culminating on scrambling up the top part. There had been drizzle overnight, so you really had to watch your step. Great views from the top.

Climbed Monday 18 May 2020 with Suzy, Tammy & Dave. Climbed West first then East. Found car park no problem based on directions from this site. Was dry here although showers on the coast. Would have been difficult to find start of West climb if it wasn’t for directions on this site. Climbed up northern side of West peak, then down & up to East peak. Great views from summit. Then carefully down south east track then followed fire trail back around to car park.

Second climb on Monday 18 May. Nice little climb. Small car park, but again directions on this site made everything easy to find. Went right at the fork where the pink ribbon is tied to the tree. Views not too bad, but filtered in parts. Had a quick, unsuccessful look for the other trail down. Next time.

Climbed Monday 11 May 2020 with Suzy. Saw Dave & Tammy there as well. Beautiful weather conditions with a great temperature. Dry. Climb is difficult but fun. Need to watch yourself on the way down. Only did the first peak. The 'welcome' sign at the top is gone. The dogs are not allowed to go with you anymore, which I think is a shame. Views not great from the top; however, would recommend all the same.

Climbed as second climb on Monday 11 May 2020 with Suzy. Saw Dave & Tammy there as well. A nice climb with plenty of stairs. Stopped near top to look East towards Coolum, then at top at Eastern lookout to look south/south east over Valdora towards Maroochydore & the Maroochy River. Followed the circuit at the top around to the Western lookout to look out towards Montville & Malpleton. Beautiful weather & views. Would recommend. |
