Postmans Track (South East Queensland) |
11 Dec, 2020 |
Medium |
4.8km return 50 mins |

An easier if done counter-clockwise tour, can be done on both Mountain bike or hike but some steep section we had to push the bike up!
Purling Brook Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park) |

A nice walk all along. It's worth pushing a bit down to the water holes. There is a sign no one reads asking to refrain from swimming under the fall in the first water holes impacting to the local flore & fauna and by respect to the indigenes, but no one seems to care! Sadly, instead I saw people sitting on the sign to get a picture of themselves with this nice backdrop. |

Mt Cougal (Springbrook National Park) |
22 Jul, 2020 |
Hard |
10km 5 hrs |

With the border closed, we parked on the QLD side of the road closure and walked to the start of the track (extra 3.5ish km extra in both directions). The walk was easy with clear access, nice sign to confirm we started on the right path. No need for a machette or gaiters. Slightly overcast and windy but at least no rain! The end has a bit of scrambling as expected but nothing really out of the ordinary. It took us 1 hour less than indicated adding the 7 km access before the walk starting point..
Clarrie Hall Dam (New South Wales) |
19 Jul, 2020 |
Medium |
5.4km return 2 hrs |

Follow the track from the car park for about 2 km then you can either turn left on a non stop assent until flat where you can climb again on the left to a summit without a view but it’s a descent effort (and tricky downhill return) but going the other way lead to the lake with a possible loop back to that “crossroads”.
Cougal Cascades (Springbrook National Park) |
14 Jul, 2020 |
Very Easy |
1.6km return 1 hr |

Nice and easy concreted all the way through. We tried to access the Cougal summit but from the climb at the cascades following the river we couldn’t see any further pink ribbon so decided to turn around as we missed the regular way from the Garden of Eden road but COVID 19 had the border closed anyway. |
