| A special treat for anyone who loves nature. The Mt Hobwee trail begins just over 5km along the Border Track & quickly it feels remote, seldom walked by others. At its best after Spring rain, flowers blooming in the trees, green with lichen & fungi & mist adding to the atmosphere. The Jurassic feel as you negotiate around the Antarctic Beech is memorable & the prettiest summit. A complete white out so we took advantage of the Caldso lookout trail, the low cloud had cleared & the view was breathtaking. Back on the Border Track & plenty of people passing by. I highly trecommend this trail but keep it a secret 😉 | ||||
