| Quite frankly, this whole series of trails in this Park are all wonderful. Such a hidden gem. We did most of all these walks across one day, just a week or so after the area coped over 100mm of rain and we had no problem at all getting through all crossings and boggy sections. The trails are actually quite varied apart from no large open expanse but the flora is amazing and varied enough for our taste. Honestly, these were some of the nicest and longest tracks in our area, well marked and well maintained but also rough and ready and in tune with the whole surroundings. My advice would be to not get too hung up about which trail to focus on. Just start at one of the gates and be open minded as the trails intersect a number of times and you can switch from one to the other easily. I should mention there were no leaches (April) though there were some mozzies in some sections but not enouh to overly bother us. Overall, I loved all the walks and will go back again at some time to try all the sections we missed out on. |
