Fairly straightforward ascent of southern peak of Doubletop via SW ridge if you know where you are going - however regrowth after the road from Top Swanfels Rd on the ridge between Swan Creek and Hellhole Creek peters out is fairly intense with much treefall. Then prior to entering the rainforest below Doubletop, there is a considerable areas of Gympie stingers that slows progress. All signs of a path here have disappeared, so you are on your own. Small cliffbreaks immediately below the peak are manageable. I then proceeded south along the range to Mt Huntley then down Huntley's western ridge back to Swan Creek |
