We started at the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre and did the Reservoir Break circuit. The office provided a map to get from the end of the trail back to the Discovery Centre which gets you around the locked gate issue. Apparently this anti-clockwise way around is also the easier way as some of the hills are very steep and are worse the other way around. It was a challenge for us but we were very proud of ourselves to get it done. We will do it again as we continue to train for our Milford Track walk later in the year. A very good workout for sure. We took our time and completed it in just under 3 hours taking a break or two to get our breath back and take in some of the views.
Simpsons Falls and Eugenia Circuit (Mt. Coot-tha) |

Lots to steps to start and a steep climb to reach the top of the trail. It was a good workout and we enjoyed it. Took around the 90min without rushing and the track was easy to follow and the signage was good. Will definitely do it again. A good walk.

This was a good walk and enjoyable. The track was clear to follow but could use a little more signage to help you out. The steps up beside the water tower are a real workout. We did them twice and I was not sure I would make it up the second time. Very pleased with myself when I did. Most of the track is in shade which was good. Will do this one again, particularly the staircase, to measure how we are progressing. |
