Commenced the walk to the top of Mt Edwards at 11:00 and arrived at the peak at 12:15. Descent only took 50mins. It can be slippery due to small rocks and inclination Great views from the top and great place to have lunch under the shade of the trees on the edge. A fair few downed trees on the way up but nothing severe. Track was easy enough to follow. Cheers Matt |

EKKA Day, great day for a walk.... Travelled to Binna Burra and started the Ships Stern Circuit at 9:00am. Track is in great condition ( well done volunteers ) and very easy to follow. Going is rather easy, scenery and lookouts on the way are awesome. The 600 mtr (1.2k return) leg to the base of Ballunjui was worth it, good photo op. We went out to the Charraboomba Rock (608m high) for lunch. It's a rocky pad but a great view point to look down into the valley and to see "Egg Rock" and to have lunch. Not long after departing the lunch stop it rained for 20 minutes but the walk was still enjoyable. Views from the last 4 lookouts were a bit limited due to mist ( after the rain etc) but stil very scenic. We completed the walk in just under 6 hours including 1/2 HR lunch. I would recommend stopping at the Lamington National Park visitors information centre for a Binna Burra and Green Mountains sections free map to take with you. HEMA Lamington National Park 1:25000 also has the walk(s) detailed on it. Happy Walking :-) Cheers. |

Started this walk at 08:45 after getting some local knowledge from the visitors centre. Headed down the Border Track and after 1 hour came to the first track junction for the Albert River Circuit. After speaking to the locals at the visitor centre, I opted to do the circuit anti-clockwise. The track is in good condition and navigating is easy. There was a howling wind that made the walk a bit chilly but still bearable. There are waterfalls galore, so take a camera. There are a few places near the falls to stop for lunch but I waited till I got to Echo Point Lookout. Apparently this is one of the best viewing areas in the park. I got there and managed two photos before the cloud/fog rolled in. The wind picked up and become icy cold. On with jacket, beanie etc. It took me 3 1/4 hours to get to the Lookout. I had lunch then headed off. From this point back to start is 8.2km's. There is a camping spot within 200 metres of the lookout. I completed the walk including 20 minute lunch stop in roughly 5 3/4 hours. I only saw 1 other walker on the circuit, he too opted for lunch at the lookout. If you are going to do this walk, be prepared for the cool winds that seem to race up the valley. Happy Walking :-) Cheers.. |

I started the walk ( more of a intense climb) at 09:15. Track starts off with a couple of hundred metres of vehicle track. Signposting then directs you to two options, left towards Palm Gorge or right towards South East Ridge. I opted left and begun the climb. After a hour I got to a T junction on the top of Palm Gorge. Left turn towards the summit which was reached after another 45 mins. View from top is less than expected, a lot of foliage to see through. Return trip was quicker and I came down via South Edge Ridge. Be aware as it is a very steep and loose track in places. Some good views on way down. The return trip took 1 hour. The track down is not marked but noticeable due to usage. Keep a eye out for the little stone " pillars" people have built as a guide :-) Came across only two groups via walk, one couple and one group of 15 who were very friendly. Cheers :-) |

Started the walk at 10am. Walked to Bare Rock and Mt Cordeaux lookout. Track in good condition, passed 6 others groups during the course of the walk. View from Bare Rock was terrific, however the horizon was hazy. Enjoyed lunch sitting on Bare Rock taking in the view and quiet :-) Temp was good, threatening showers on the return leg but still very comfortable. Would recommend this walk as it's easy to walk and navigate with great views. |

Started the walk mid morning, temp was refreshing. Track condition was good, few minor fallen branches but still easy to navigate. Got to the peak and view was AWESOME to say the least. Had lunch then started the return descent. Only 3 groups seen on track all day :-) Parking limited at car park due to Cunninghams Gap roadworks / upgrade. Well worth the walk, take a camera and maybe bino's as the view on a clear day is AWESOME. Cheers, Happy Walking :-) |
