Wangi Falls is one of Litchfield’s most popular and easily accessible attractions. It is open all year round, however swimming is not always possible due to water levels. This place is simply magic in the Wet Season, with the walk to the top of the falls offering a great opportunity for photography.
From Darwin travel south on the Stuart Highway for 85km, before turning off to Batchelor (15km). From Batchelor a further 65km will take you to the signposted Wangi Falls turn off.
It is also accessible during the Dry Season via Cox Peninsular Road (50km south of Darwin on the Stuart Highway) and then Litchfield Park Road for 60km, which has a 11km unsealed section.

From the car park and picnic area go right to take an anticlockwise route up the side of the falls. This section is pretty steep and many people only go as far as the viewing platform. But, from there continue upwards to cross the creek walkway just above the falls.
From here, it is all downhill, as you twist and turn down the far side and back to the car park.
