Kujaku no Taki 来若の滝 (Gifu Prefecture)

Japan

This waterfall is way deep in the sticks of Gifu, located in Kushihara. Kujaku no Taki is a 30 metre drop waterfall. It's pretty nifty.

Getting there

To get to this hike, first drive to Kushihara. Input Kujaku no Taki into good ol' Google Maps and it will take you there. Just be warned that the path is super narrow. Even though the road is technically a two way road, there is only enough space for one car. Be careful. As you get close to the waterfall, there will be a pseudo-car park on a curb. Right in front of a mirror is the officical Kujaku no Taki carpark. Park off the road in the grass area and then walk 80 metres up the road where there is a narrow forest path that veers off to the left and down to the river. This is the trailhead.

Route/Trail notes

From the trailhead, follow the very narrow path to the river. There is a clearly marked trail. Within about 5 minutes, you will reach the waterfall. Return the same way.
