Getting there:

Take the Eumundi Noosa Road off the Bruce Highway (Exit 224) and head east towards Noosa. 500m after the second Eumundi roundabout, turn right into Seib Road and left after 1.7km into Verrierdale Forest Road. 400m along this gravel road is the park gates and a small area to leave your vehicle.

Route/Trail notes:

Recommend that you print off a copy of the Park map to help you. Travel straight in from the gate for 400m, to the 'junction' of all the walks. Signposted from here, turn left and then straight on out to the far side of the park, following the trail in a clockwise direction along the boundary fence, to where you turn right onto the Ironbark Trail and back to the 'junction' and left to the entrance gate.

Other References/Comments:

This area has a rich history of timber milling and cattle grazing, having been the boundary of three massive cattle runs: Canando, Yandina and North Kenilworth. Judging by the size of many of the remaining trees, I guess some conservation and regeneration was in the minds of the loggers.

This was a wonderful walk! No people & a beautiful sense of getting away from everything. We did this one as part of a larger circuit and added the Geebung Circuit & the Blackbutt Trail which was a total of 8.3km. A couple of sections would be impassable with a bit of rain.

Really enjoyed this walk - appreciated the quiet, diversity of landscape and birdlife (not so easy to spot though!). Tracks can be uneven with rocks, sticks and gullies.

My first venture into this Conservation Park and initially a little confused by the map signage. Turns out that the rule is; 'if there is no sign, carry straight on, on the main track'! Very strange bird calls from out the back; maybe the elusive Figbird?

We've done this walk several times as it's so accessible and lovely. It's an easy walk and very quiet, also well shaded as you're mostly walking amongst the trees. We have seen a few snakes on the track, so keep an eye out.

Did this walk in combination with all the others , spending a good 3.30 hrs in this park. Nice wide trail to walk on , did some across some mountain bike riders and signs of horse riders too. Quite easy , just a couple mild hills , love the difference of scenery ...rainforest ...ironbark trees ....gumtrees...etc etc
