The walking track leads around the base of Mount Tibrogargan, through casuarina groves, open eucalypt and melaleuca forests. The track allows for great views of Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Cooee (to the north east). Keep an eye out for circling peregrine falcons. There are a number of seats along the way for those that like to stop and take it all in.

We had 4 families (6 kids aged 4,3,2) and took us 2hrs 20 with toddler paced strolling, numerous snack breaks a nappy change and a few meltdowns, but we made it and had some stellar moments amongst the chaos. The forest is lovely to walk through and it's nice to see a few vantage points to spot some of the mountains in the distance

Nice, relaxing walk. Went through the week so no big crowds but still people out & about, with the recent dry weather it was a good walk.

Stunning views!

Really nice walk. A few hills but nothing hard. Took us about an hour and 20 minutes but we stopped a couple of times.

Nice shaded walk for any time of the day

Another great walk so close to Brisbane. I loved seeing the mountain from below and it felt good to respect the First Nation people's wishes by not climbing the mountain. Easy walk with a few steps.

Really nice walk through some beautiful bushland with some great views of Mt Tibrogargen.

Easy circuit which we enjoyed doing before breakfast, took about an hour with time to take a few photos along the way. I am sure this was closer to 4.1km from the Tibrogargan trailhead carpark. Enjoyable for all ages!

Nice easy walk with baby… 3.3km was the limit though with baby in carrier on my back. Easy walk- just watch your step so trip. Little inclines not hectic. Just enough!

Great hike with stunning views of the rock face of Tibrogargan. 800 metres or so of steps to get your heart pumping that then levels out to a nice walkable or runnable trail

Have done the circuit around the base a few times now and it's a great circuit. You can do it from either car park and if your just doing the circuit. Do it anti clockwise so you have the steps at the end. Have been up as far as chicken rock for the climb and that's as far as i'll go for now. Did find the chicken run around the back and got up past that first section but decided to go back down again.

Relatively easy walk. Enjoy funding big lizards along the way.

Did this after finishing Tibberwoocum. A lovely circuit, easy to navigate with signage along the way. Amazing to see Tibrogargan from the base like that and look up and see the little dots that are people abseiling down. Lookouts along the way with info about what mountains you can see in the distance. There are some benches along the way to sit and take in the views. Water is a must like with any track. Pretty easy going with only a few inclines along the way.. mostly at the beginning. A nice walk for kids, saw lots of families out walking this one when I went.

Nice walk. No wildlife at all. Very crowded with school excursion children.

A nice walk, nothing too strenuous except some stairs that get the heart going. Interesting to see the mountain from different angles.

Added this to the Trachyte trail. The view from the base makes you want to climb to the top so I did part of it until I got to a sheer rock face and decided that given my age and fitness decided discretion was the better part of valour. Easy walk around. Part of the bush was burnt out but that made interesting photos.

Easy walk. Part was burnt out from bush fire but parts made good photos on how the forest regenerates

As I type this walk has been ticked 148 times so it's popular, and with good reason. I note other comments suggesting joining the Tibrogargan and Trachyte circuits. Probably a good idea, I was tempted, but mid January in Brisbane (temp 34, humidity 65%) I decided discretion is the better part and just did the walk around Tibrogargan. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk, met a small goanna on the path. Out of curiosity I went up the summit track to the point it starts getting seriously steep, took one look at it and my stomach started hollowing out!! If you're up for it I admire you, it's not for me.

Easy family friendly walk with some really nice lookout points to the mountains nearby.
