Booloumba Creek

Getting there:

From Kenilworth travel south on the Maleny Kenilworth Road for 7km before turning right onto Booloumba Creek Road. Travel a further 5km along this road to the entrance of the park. From here on, the road is unsealed and you will need a High Clearance 4WD as there a number of creek crossings. After 1km you will reach the Day Use Area on the right, where you can park.

All the walks start from here, although they can be accessed from the three camping areas.

Such a beautiful place. The pool was great. Deep pockets of water for the big kids to jump off the rocks

There is a 2.2km loop walk - Day area 2 to Camp area 3 or vice versa - which runs along one side of the creek, then across, and along the other side. Use stepping stones to cross if you do not want to get wet feet. The track is easily followed. There are a couple of inclines but easy walking. It can be muddy after rain. Good thick vegetation; plenty of birds and goannas.
Park at day area 2; or at trail head in camping area 3, where the sign is (past the first few camp sites)
