A circular walk in the Maroochy Botanic Garden, this popular natural terrain bush track follows the banks of the lagoon. The open forest ecosystem has remnants Bloodwood, Blue Gum and Tallowwood in the canopy, while Piccabeen Palm and Tree Ferns fringe the rocky gullies and bridges along the track.
Leave the Bruce Highway onto the Sunshine Motorway. Take the first exit (Sippy Down) onto Tanawha Tourist Drive and after 1.7km turn into Main Creek Road. From here, follow the signposts to the Botanic Gardens, where there is ample parking.
From the car park take the signposted Lagoon Walk through the Open Lawns, Rain and Whip Bird Gardens out around the lagoon crossing three creeks before its return to the car park.
None.
Leave yourselves enough time at the end to also visit the Bushland Sculpture Garden, which is accessible from the car park.
