Steep fire road to start of walk rewards you with a level stroll through the Forrest alongside an old mine water-race, crossing a few rivulets there are side tracks Or old timber bridges for the brave. Which maps cover the area?
Parking behind the bus shed there's a steep fire road 4wd accessible up the hill to the start of the trail, or walk it. At the Y junction take a left to get to the old reservoir, then bear right to get onto the water race walk. Walk meanders along next to the old race, crossing small creeks you can walk the old water-bridges. Track gets fairly rough at the end but it's worth bush bashing through to get to the old dam and a beautiful swimming hole
Do you need any permits? What's the cost?
How can I find more info? Any guide books?
