One of my favorites as it takes me away from civilization rather quickly and also connects directly to Spring Mountain Forest Park.

Surprisingly there was a fair amount of people on a Sunday afternoon. The trail out is a fairly boring fire break with not much to see. The trees were alive with all kinds of birds, and we had a wallaby hop across ahead of us, but since the trail was packed with screaming kids, it didn't stay long. The stairs up to White Rock are the hardest part, and most of the families with small children turned around at that point. Once at the top, the views of White Rock and the surrounding area were absolutely amazing. Feel free to climb the rocks just to the left at the top of the stairs for some awesome photos. Definitely worth the hike, but beware of loud obnoxious families as this is a fairly popular trail.

Definitely an awesome walk if you enjoy a damp, dark rain forest atmosphere. The trail is fairly easy but gets narrow in some areas, passing through a couple of large rocks that make for a short cave walk. The trail ends at Twin Falls, which is a gorgeous location with a beautiful clear pond at the base. |
