Good walk for summer - shaded for most of the walk. No super-steep sections, and the path is mostly sloping upwards with few steps.

The rating on this is fairly accurate - a good amount of fitness is required due to the length and elevation, but it's definitely doable. It would be easy to miss the turnoff to the ridge, but it is marked by the rocks as described in the other comments. The ridge itself is a lot of fun to scramble over and you can continue on through to the peak, however this portion of the path is a bit overgrown - be prepared for some spiderwebs and scratches! The additional exploration will add to the time needed, so expect to spend 3-3.5 hours on the overall walk. Although a lot of the trail has shade, there is little shade along the ridge so be prepared for that. The trail itself also did not get much of a breeze despite it being a blustery day in general on the coast, so we were warm the whole way - I'd suggest starting early in the day. Overall, an interesting and worthwhile hike.

This walk was enjoyable and interesting. The views at the top are quite special and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy them, although it was very busy. Most of the walk is shaded and the path is easy to follow.

Tibro is a challenging climb but well worth the effort. It isn't for the faint of heart - most of the trail requires scrambling and there are few flat ledges large enough for several people to rest. It starts with an uphill trail until you reach 'chicken rock', which is the steepest portion of the climb. From there, it is more of a scramble than a climb, but it doesn't get easier if you're afraid of heights. At the summit, continue through to the other side for great views over the sunshine coast. Good fitness levels are needed for this climb and wear good running/approach shoes with decent grip (no hiking boots!). Don't attempt this in the wet. I was glad to have had some rock climbing experience before tackling Tibro and I would recommend doing this hike/scramble with someone who has climbed before. |

Beautiful walk. A high level of fitness isn't required for this - just some good shoes, a camera, and a water bottle. It can get quite busy with tourist groups so I would recommend going early in the day. The scenery is beautiful and you walk directly alongside Kata Tjuta, which is breathtakingly large from this trail! I'd definitely recommend this walk.
