Started at the base of the mountain. Great if you want to work your climbing legs straight away. Loose rocks 3/4 of the way up but take your time and you will be fine. If you have a tendency to twist ankles wear boots with good ankle support. Did it in 2hrs. Parking at the very end of the road.

Nice walk today. A bit easier than Mt Coolum and not as busy. A little over an hour to complete today. Tracks are good and well maintained. Walking under canopy 99% of the way. Tracks a little bit loose under foot but nothing to be worried about. I wear hiking boots for comfort but not necessary. Poles not required but could be handy as a training track if you wanted to get the hang of using them. |

Third time doing this track. Must admit after being stuck inside for a while this time took the longest. Lots of people out today enjoying the sunshine and freedom but not enough to warrant and social distancing issues. Looks like a few large rocks have been dislodged since I was here last. Track still good but makes these bits a little ‘taller’ to try to navigate. I wear hiking boots for ankle support and don’t use poles for this one. Lots of people wearing sneakers so personal preference really. |

Nice walk this morning. Car park full at 7am. Was bursting at the seams when I finished at midday. Track good. Couple of trees down but easy to navigate over them. Mostly walking in rainforest with a few sunny parts.

Great day. No rain but cloudy. Saw 20 others on the track. Didn’t see any wildlife but was prepared with Bushmans to keep the leeches at bay. Will bring the swimmers next time to have a dip at Meeting of the Waters. Really quite a good walk. GPS said 15km though. Still a great day out. Just under 4hours to complete with a few short stops.

Great hike to do today as I was passing through into NSW. Not for the faint hearted but easily managed. I wouldn’t try this one if rain predicted at all. Would make the rock face quite slippery. Hiking boots worn but no poles required. Camping nearby. Toilet facilities and tables near the car park. Will be back to this area to do more hikes. Great area. |
