Wivenhoe Hill (South East Queensland) |

I have all walks multiple times sometimes both on bike and on foot, the trails themselves are o.k but there are many real interesting features beyond the trails, there are several rock shelters among the ancient river beds and in the sandstone. It would be nice if SEQ water made dedicated walking trails around such features.

My third time here but this time it was via paddy's plain since the closure of the Cotswold route. This way is very interesting with a great diversity of landscapes, but it's a long walk including exploring Paddy's falls it took around 9hrs to complete.
Mt Barney - East Peak - Up South-East - Down South (Mt Barney National Park) |

Very Hard |

My first time up mt Barney was an overnighter ,carrying the extra gear was a real pain but the sunrise was worth it. The second time was up the South East Ridge and although hard it's an interesting climb.
Lower Portals (Mt Barney National Park) |

mt Barney is one of my favorite parks, an hour and a half from the Lower Portals is Barney Junction it's an excellent spot to camp, you can get there via the creek which gets hard in places, the best way is up on top of the ridge. at the Lower Portals head uphill and at the top turn right and head up along the ridge.
Mt Mitchell (Main Range National Park) |
Oct, 2010 |
Medium |

I went up here during the rain, I knew I wouldn't get a view but I'd driven all the way out here on a chance that the weather might clear which it didn't but it still made a very interesting walk, apart from the leeches it was worth it. and there was lots of wild raspberries up here as well.
Coomera Circuit (Lamington National Park) |
5 Sep, 2010 |
Medium |
17.4km 6 hrs |

I've been on this walk three times with the first time limited to a landslide just after Coomera falls, the highlight of the walk would have to be Bahnamboola falls "the top part" it's not far from Coomera falls but it's easily missed because you don't see it from the track, there's an overgrown side track on the left just passed the sign.
