Very hot walk even in winter. Not a great deal to see until you reach the top but it is an achievement to complete.

Very hard track as it is such a consistant angle. The rock slabs weren't too bad at all to climb up slowly. Didn't get to each peak as we had lost a bit of time earlier in the day. Beautiful weather and only a couple of other people on the track

Easy walk. We did this one after already doing Mt Gnungun and Tibberoowuccum. We did the offshoot walk to the cliff face just past the Matthew Flinders carpark which surprisingly got a bit steep but was worth the extra 1.2km

We found the 1st track was too over grown to get to the summit so we kept walking around to the right up the two slippery 4x4 hills. There was an obvious sign and track to follow. Fron the sign it took up 10mins to reach the top. At the top we found another track on the right which takes you down through the bush which was mostly obvious to follow. This track came out along another fire trail. We took the first left and followed this to Barrs Road then turned right and headed to the carpark which is a few minutes away. This 2nd track would be a little difficult to find heading up and was also quite steep so going down was the best option for us.

Most amazing experience. Peru is beautiful. The hike can be a bit of a test of character but you can go as fast or slow as needed. The Porters will overtake you no matter how fast you are going. |
