Rainforest Circuit

D'Aguilar National Park

This walking track starts at Maiala day-use area and winds through stunning subtropical rainforest. Appreciate the majestic beauty of the old Sydney blue gum, a sole survivor of the eucalypt forest that was once the dominant vegetation here. This track joins Cypress Grove and a section of Greenes Falls walking tracks. Parking is available at Maiala car park. An easy walk for most fitness levels.

Absolutely stunning. Easy well maintained path, some stairs towards the end (I went clockwise). The bird sounds in the cool rainforest were just magic.
I tacked on the cypress grove to extend the walk a little bit further.
Will go back for sure.

I did this with my 86yr old parents. Dad has a walking stick. Very uneven ground for a disabled person, but Dad loved it. 'Highly recommend doing a "grounding" walk like this once in a while. Quite different to being focused on fitness or counting up kilometres. Great for your heart and your soul :)', as another reviewer said! Very easy if not disabled. :)

What a beautiful short walk today! The Greenes Falls track was closed due to tree damage so we decided to walk this very slowly and really take in the details.

🐁🕷️💚🍄 Some amazing spots include: A long-nosed bandicoot scurrying in the leaf litter, so many pademelons, hill banks full of burrows housing wishbone spiders, empty snail shells, and fungi galore.

A beautifully easy trail walk with ancient trees that are second to none. Well worth the visit. Greene's falls were closed so we took the rainforest walk and the cypress track. It didn't disappoint and there was a small running creek as well.

A very quick and easy walk with plenty of shade.

Lovely walk, even in the rain.

Have done this walk many times, a very easy but enjoyable circuit with lots of opportunities for wildlife spotting with pademelons, land mullets, Green Catbirds, Eastern Yellow Robins etc. Nicely shaded beneath the canopy. Good to join up with other tracks in the area for a longer walk.

This is a great short walk in a beautiful location. It was just a shame that it was busy with lots of people that need to have loud conversations. We added Greenes Falls, Cypress Grove Track and the Westside Track to complete just over 10km.

Completed on the return from Greenes Falls. Nice walk for kids

We did this as a longer diversion when returning from Greenes Falls. It is a lovely walk and although it was very busy with a lot of walkers out, it's still well worth the visit. I think it would be amazing early in the morning on a quiet day.

We walked this track as part of the Greens Falls walk. It was almost dark by the time we got back because we started late but the track is very clear and easy to follow. This is a popular walk.
