Thylogale Track

D'Aguilar National Park

Walk from Jolly's Lookout to Boombana. The walk is 4.5 kms one way, however you're better off walking back along the path, not the road. Walking along Mt Nebo Road is dangerous with all of its blind corners

Nice easy walk. It’s pretty flat. On another note I have to say that it’s really dry in the area. We’ve been up there many times and I’ve never seen so many trees with dead leaves.

Flat trail that made for a nice walk through the forest. I spotted one wallaby on the track, and a couple of handsome birds. You notice a slight shift from more tropical into something a little drier as you progress around the mountain. It took me two hours at a leisurely pace to do the Thylogale track including return.

An excellent walk through the rainforest. Easy & refreshing. Saw heaps of birds - whip bird, wompoo fruit dove, Australian king parrot, Australian log runner, yellow tailed black cockatoo, green catbird, regent bowerbird, large billed scrub wren.

A refreshing walk through the rainforest - lovely and peaceful. The track is well maintained and provides diverse flora. Spotted a wallaby, Wompoo Fruit-dove, Australian King Parrot, White-browed Scrubwren, Australian Logrunner, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Green Catbird, Regent Bowerbird and Large-billed Scrubwren. This track is easy to follow.

Very peaceful and easy walk, suitable for all fitness levels as its mainly all flat. Lots of wildlife spotting. A good summer walk as its in shade most of the way.

Boombana circuit

Nice easy hike/trail run on a rainy day, as mentioned by others definitely longer than the 8km return. I combined it with the two 1km circuits at each end and did 11km all up.

A lovely and easy hike, about 11km from Jolly’s Lookout to the Mountain Cafe and back. Lots of wildlife including pademelons, a snake, king parrot, a fantail and a lace monitor.

Easy walk, if you start at The Mountain Café, the return journey is about 10 Klm. Green and lush, good paths.

A lovely walk - lots of rainforest vegetation :) Pretty flat and easy.

Started from Jolly's Lookout
Nice easy walk with a couple of very nice views, some great looking trees and a mild amount of wildlife
Saw a scrub/bush turkey at the turn around point who was very happy to see we had apples
Saw 2 x Pademelon (keep your ears open)
Note* If using a phone to track your steps/distance, it appears that the track is a bit longer one way - was stopped by a couple to confirm if they had to keep going as the phone told them they had done over 4km. (both phones said approx 4.7km)

Really nice track, easy grade, no hills and beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful walk

As most of the previous posters have said, this is a pretty flat track. Was nice and cool for a hot'ish summers day as there's plenty of rainforest coverage. Saw quite a few Pademelon's on the walk. Started at the Jolly's Lookout end of the walk. We added on the 1km loop at the other end. Recommend for a nice easy walk.

Nice and flat with the promise of a cafe stop at the turnaround point.

Fantastic family walk - we walk with kids (5, 9 and 11) and this one is one of our family favourites. The track is well maintained, nice and flat - all up a very easy walk when you just need some quiet outdoor time. Walking at the pace of a 5 yr old it usually takes us about 45 mins each way.
