This is a great walk through mostly canopied forest that skirts around Enoggera Reservoir. There are some quite steep hills which will be a challenge if you are not very fit, but most of the walk is easy. Glimpses of the reservoir, lots of beautiful trees, the odd encounter with wildlife make for a very enjoyable couple of hours.

It is best to call into the Information Centre at Walk About Creek before starting this walk as they have detailed instructions on navigating the bit of suburb walking required to complete the circuit. It's also useful to have the topographical map as the hike isn't on marked trails - it would be difficult to get lost - but it's possible! If you are doing a circuit then just keep taking Left hand turns if going anti clockwise! After reaching the dam wall keep on the left until you reach the transport hub (The Gap), The parking area has an exit that leads to the Walkabout Creek area with proper walkways.

Completed this circuit in an anti clock wise direction. Well people are right, there are some killer hills on this track, but very enjoyable all the same. 2.15 mins

Beautiful hike early in the morning with the steam rising off the water.

Walked with Simon, Sam, Mum and Dad

Nice walk, some killer hills but that was all part of the variety! incredibly wet as we walked, so 1/2 the track at lake level was underwater. Exciting Creek crossing due to water levels.

nice walk some of the hills were killers

Started on the Araucaria Track but then moved to the Link Track and did the whole circuit. Ended up being 10.9km...a long dry, warm walk but completed in 2hr 20min. I’m reasonably fit but found some of the hills to be killers...they’re just not nice! The signage is non-existent so you need to regularly refer to a map. I have absolutely no desire to do this one again...

We walked the complete circuit as guided by the walkabout discovery centre and it actually was closer to 15klms? But this included the loop that went down to the dam

A good walk but the circuit needs better directional signage.

Busy on ANZAC day but enjoyable walk with many birds around.

Very nice family walk. Got a little wet and muddy but thats all part of the fun!

To complete the circuit follow the mountain bike trail that branches from the Araucaria trail. At the end when. You reach the dam you need to skirt around a fence and you should end up at the bus depot. Follow the road up the hill and you should reach the wildlife centre and carpark.

A nice walk through the bush and a great track close to town with plenty of hills for building up fitness. Lots of wildlife including Bell birds, Cockatoos, water birds, goannas and if you are lucky/ unlucky, snakes.

Great to be so close to the city and still have so much wildlife. We saw a couple of lace monitors, a forrest kingfisher, several flocks of rufous fantales and heard a catbird and a whip bird or three. The swim at the end was a welcome finish on a warm day.

Great Walk rained for half it, took 3.5 hours roughly.

Really decent bushwalk, better to be relatively fit before you try and tackle it though. Pop into the info centre beforehand to pick up a map so you can navigate your way through the suburb bit. Also- don’t park on the main road! Even though you see quite a few people parking there it’s illegal and they’ve started booking people for it recently apparently. Drive into the Carpark!

I have ridden this before but decided to walk this time. It’s a really lovely walk beside the dam with a few hills thrown in for good measure

To do a loop from the start point, walk counter clockwise until you get to the dam wall. Get around the gate on the bridge, and once you're at the base of the dam facilities, follow the fence around the outside - you will see a path worn into the grass. This will take you to the start of the trail!

Tried to do the 10km walk but got confused around the Araucaria track and ended up circuiting back home. Still about 6.5km though.
Nice bush walk alongside the reservoir. Not sure why we haven’t come here before!

A lovely walk welcomed by bellbirds, glimpses of the stunning blue water and the secret life of ducks :) Good little challenge for someone building up fitness. No scrambling. Couldn't walk a "loop" across the dam wall, but the alternative around the back through the bus terminal and back to the carpark wasn't difficult to find. Needed water as the track was quite dusty and the wind was up.
