JC Slaughter Falls

Mt. Coot-tha

The walk begins at the far end of the JC Slaughter Falls Picnic area and follows for about 600m way one. Only about 200m on the walk has a steep rocky incline but it isn't very difficult. The falls are non-existent unless there has been some rain.

Comments

Lovely walk. Easy walk going down towards picnic area, harder walking back up towards lookout.

Took the family and the dog on this trail. Very nice walk although the terrain is not flat.

Did this one again as a final opportunity for forest therapy before having my first baby! Partner and his son had a great time rock hopping along the creek while I stuck to the path.

Very short walk, but it is nice to walk through up to Mt Cootha lookout. @teniille

A peak a week on 26 Sep, 2016

This walk starts at Slaughter Falls and finishes at the Mt Cootha Lookout. The first time I did it I found it a little steep but easier each time I do it. I try to do this walk/climb once a month and early in the week mornings, weekends are too crowded. The walk now takes me 30 minutes up, a coffee at the top and 20 minutes down.
