Dont let the shortness of the walk fool you. This is up and down a lot of stairs. On th day we visited it was 1' temp with an artic blow of 60+kmh out of the south west. This was not an easy walk and at times we could lean over into the wind and be held up. it felt like you were walking on the spot. A truely rugged and beautiful place that on a calm warmer day would be special but today it was one of the toughest little walks i have done for a while. Nice to be back in the warm of the car brrrrrr!!!!! A day after this walk they had snow in this area. |

I enjoyed the walk but on a day that was 1'in temp and a strong 60kmh artic blast coming out of the south west and on the second day of rain in the area it was not one for the casual sight seer. There was snow in the area the next day and I was guessing by the silence and lack of wild life they knew what was coming and bunkered down. Beautiful scenery and a wonderful experience but the trails were a little bogey. Time and a tight travel schedule wasn't kind to me but I would love to visit again when the weather is better. it looks like it would be a special place when the wildlife is out and about.

we did this walk at night and was a great way to see the lights of Sydney , The Rocks and the fire works over the Opera House for Remembrance Day. A lot of people around with three cruise boats in the harbour but the walk was well lite and had lots of distractions along the way. Take a camera because you never know what you will see along the way with street performers and lots of social activities to see. You forget quickly about the walk and amerce yourself in the night life of Sydney. We seem to walk forever and after a while i think we just made our own trail. Lots of fun and you can make it as long or as short as you want.

A nice little walk, maybe I wasn't feeling it today but not something to rave about. it blew out some travel cob webs and got the blood flowing a bit but nothing worth taking the camera out of the case for.

A steady uphill climb to about the 1.6 km mark and then it takes a very steep change. The wide concrete walking paths make this enjoyable and it certainly stretches the leg muscles. Regular water fountain taps make it easy and the summit views are worth the effort. The trip back down was very quick and very enjoyable. A surprising walk so close to the city. one to tick a "do again". |

A very nice walk. The walking platform is not for those with a fear of heights. I watched many walking along hanging onto the rails but the view was something special. I passed on the cantilever bridge. was swaying a meter each way in the wind and not really for me.

A nice way to stretch the legs. I did encounter a lot of fresh, stinky mounds from dog walkers left behind. I thought we had evolved beyond inconsiderate but they are something you need to be constantly looking out for. The track is wide and a pleasure to stroll although floods and erosion are leaving scars on the environment. A nice picnic area with BBQ's and toilets. Great for a swim on a hot day with lots of rope swings hanging off tress along the walk.

A nice walk through the heart of the city by a semi to serious walker but you do feel intimidated and in danger given the very high number of cyclist and scooter riders sharing the path and traveling at very fast speeds. A number of near misses and brushes with the bike riders and jostled by the steady stream of runners and joggers. Not something I would rate as "risk free" or a particularly "pleasant" walk but one that will blow out some cob webs and let you appreciate the more remote walks. Wear high vis and take your spidey sensors. |

Maleny Trail (Peace in the Trees Circuit) (Sunshine Coast) |

A very good walk. best done clockwise on the circuit. While the walk itself is very good the parking in Maleny is frustrating and requires some patience. We parked some distance away and had to walk a long way just to get to the start point of this walk. The Platypus was a real buzz and the wide range of birds was wonderful. The signage was good and the pathways were excellent with some small patches effected by water but is a constant work in improving the path ways by council. you cannot get to Gardner's Falls from this trail even though signage and info boards say you can. Locals say this may change in the future but you cant get there from this trail today. You must drive to the other side off Obi Obi Road. |

nice easy walk - best in summer with a towel. this is not linked to the Maleny Peace in the Trees walk. It is on opposite sides of the creek and not connected. Plenty of picnic places and lots of shady trees over the path. |

I tried to follow walking etiquette and be quiet listening to nature...... but the tunnel just makes you want to choo choo like a big kid. Great echoes and fantastic fun. Take the extra effort and walk to Maloola Village for a coffee and snack before the trip back to Landsborough. Was a nice way to warm up on a winters day.
