Nice easy walk along an exposed sandbar at low tide. Glad we wore shoes as there were some sharp places underfoot, especially if you walk out past King Island as far as you can. Low tide happened to be around sunset, so we stayed for that too!

It is fun to walk to an island.

Went with the kids who enjoyed looking at the shells and coral on the sand bar and running through the trees once on the island.
Pleasant stroll but a busy spot. The park at Wellington Point is lovely and worthy of a picnic, fish and chips or ice cream stop!
We walked to the far end of the island and it was approximately 3kms return.

Great little walk for everyone

I do this walk probably once a month. Very easy walk but of course check when it is low tide as it then becomes a swim if you get caught out there when the tide rises. The sand isn't exactly nice and smooth in parts so take thongs or wear shoes. There can be a lot of people doing this walk with their puppy dogs but plenty of room to not be crowded and always lovely to pat a friendly dog along the way. A hat is a must as there is no shade out until the island and there is a lot of gravel like sand there so that's were you will need the thongs. There are mangroves/trees on the teeny tiny little island but its more for the walk out there than to explore the island anyway. A pretty little walk for the kids to enjoy and still be able to have a swim while walking along if you want.

Lovely walk! We did this probably a bit late on the return tide and walked back through knee deep water but it was all part of the adventure. Great walk for young kids!

Take a pair of thongs ... gravel, not sand can be tough on your bare feet

Great walk for the little ones. Need to do a low tide and if you are early enough you can bring your dog.
