Russel Park Walking Tracks

Getting there

The track starts in the carpark of Fisher Lookout which is across the road from the television towers.

Route/Trail notes

The path descends steeply down to a side track to the top of Cunjevoi Falls. You then back-track 170 to the main track which leads over Little Mowbullan and to a 700m side track to Chute #3. The track then takes you back up the side of the mountain past a cattle field and to the picnic area on the road. Then take the road back to the carpark.

Permits/Costs

You don't need a permit and there are no costs involved.

If you take the tracks straight down to the lookout from the picnic area, the track is fairly well maintained and easy. If you do the loop, there is a large section that is unrelentingly steep and has a LOT of loose rocks and overgrown sections. The view is fabulous, but it's not great footing.

My very first walk in the Bunya's. Spectacular view at the starting point with a nice descent into the forrest. Take time to go down to the falls whicg would be great to see after a rain storm. The track brings you to the picnic area and return to the parking area by the road is needed.
